100 Things I am thankful for

With Thanksgiving in the US being on Thursday, and I being in a bit of a funk, I thought I would share this list with you. Housekeeping: you may noticed I changed from blogger to wordpress. This will be my new permanent page.

  2. JESUS
  3. My mom and dad
  4. My sister
  5. All of my grandparent’s and other family
  6. My third set of “grandparents” who live across the road
  7. Freedom of religion
  8. My church community
  9. Getting my college education, without mass amounts of debt.
  10. My health
  11. Being able to walk
  12. Being able to do anything I want to do
  13. The sun
  14. Access to medical care that increases my quality of life
  15. Access to medical equipment that increases my quality of life
  16. My quality of life
  17. My slightly younger friend, who is a ball of sunshine
  18. My slightly older friend, who is a ball of sunshine
  19. My much older friend/ mentor, who is a ball of sunshine
  20. Friends who I saw anywhere from every day to bi yearly
  21. The memories I share with friends and family
  22. The people who I can randomly call and annoy
  23. The people who invite me out to dinner
  24. Toilet paper
  25. Music
  26. The ability to mess around and play a little music
  27. Laughing fits with my grandmother
  28. Quiet moments besides people I love
  29. Random cards in the mail
  30. My old job, and the laughs I had
  31. The butterfly feeling right before something epic is about to happen- embrace that feeling.
  32. Roller coasters
  33. Christmas cookies
  34. Christmas Eve mass
  35. Mass in general
  36. How happy people are around the holidays
  37. My dress collection
  38. My nice warm bed
  39. Heating pads
  40. Heated blankets
  41. Portable heating pads
  42. Hot Chocolate
  43. CoFfEe (only when I did not sleep the night before)
  44. Having a woodburner
  45. Anything that provides me with a bit more warmth
  46. Botox and other medications that help me out from time to time
  47. My crazy cat (who is arguably my best friend)
  48. Rain tapping on my window sill
  49. Books that make you laugh
  50. Books that make you cry
  51. Beautiful art
  52. Beautiful letters, texts, and emails
  53. Beautiful smiles
  54. Beautiful people
  55. The people who made me find other people who truly liked me
  56. The people who made me realize I shouldn’t be around them
  57. The people who helped me find myself worth
  58. The opportunity to reconnect with my mom
  59. Having enough to get by
  60. Being middle class
  61. Valuing hard work
  62. Having access to a private education when I needed it
  63. Snowy mornings
  64. Long snowy winter night walks with my mom
  65. Summer afternoons spent wandering around the wood
  66. Intense hiking with my friends
  67. My family’s farm
  68. M&M’s
  69. Living in a first world country
  70. Having parents that are able and willing to have me live with them after graduation
  71. Having grandparents who are willing to have me come over whenever I want
  72. Sharing a meal with family
  73. Long phone conversations about nothing in particular
  74. My family friend’s who live on the lake
  75. The people who deal with my insanity
  76. Crutches!
  77. Living in a house

  80. Being able to pick out what I want for dinner
  81. Freedom of expression

  87. The night sky, and how incredible it looks
  88. Cars
  89. Wildflowers
  90. Light summer storms
  91. People who wave to me on my walks (even though it scares me sometimes)
  92. The community who watched me grow up
  93. Therapists, aides, teachers, principals, and secretaries, who all helped me get through school
  94. The teachers who allowed me to talk to them
  95. The adults who allowed me to befriend them
  96. Long conversations with my aunt
  97. Having people who make you feel lucky – respect people who have been through more than you
  98. Having my own phone
  99. Being able to go one vacations
  100. Being able to wake up this morning!

So that’s my list, I forgot a lot! I’m pretty spoiled! I started a facebook page just for my blog called Just A Girl with Crutches, feel free to follow that page, it will just be for my blog posts.

  1. Wow, to be so thankful! I wish everything could put together a list like this for themselves, unfortunately there are many people that do not feel thankful, they worry more about what they do not have. A very good list and thank you for sharing.
