
With Thanksgiving in the US being on Thursday, and I being in a bit of a funk, I thought I would share this list with you. Housekeeping: you may noticed I changed from blogger to wordpress. This will be my new permanent page.

- Christmas Eve mass
- Mass in general
- How happy people are around the holidays

- My nice warm bed
- Heating pads
- Heated blankets
- Portable heating pads
- Hot Chocolate
- CoFfEe (only when I did not sleep the night before)
- Having a woodburner
- Anything that provides me with a bit more warmth
- Botox and other medications that help me out from time to time
- My crazy cat (who is arguably my best friend)
- Rain tapping on my window sill
- Books that make you laugh
- Books that make you cry
- Beautiful art
- Beautiful letters, texts, and emails
- Beautiful smiles
- Beautiful people
- The people who made me find other people who truly liked me
- The people who made me realize I shouldn’t be around them
- The people who helped me find myself worth
- The opportunity to reconnect with my mom
- Having enough to get by
- Being middle class
- Valuing hard work
- Having access to a private education when I needed it
- Snowy mornings
- Long snowy winter night walks with my mom
- Summer afternoons spent wandering around the wood
- Intense hiking with my friends
- My family’s farm
- M&M’s
- Living in a first world country
- Having parents that are able and willing to have me live with them after graduation
- Having grandparents who are willing to have me come over whenever I want
- Sharing a meal with family
- Long phone conversations about nothing in particular
- My family friend’s who live on the lake
- The people who deal with my insanity
- Crutches!
- Living in a house

- Meeting people all over the world with disabilities
- Being able to pick out what I want for dinner
- Freedom of expression
- Sunsets
- Sunrises
- Mail service
- Rainbows
- Four leaf clovers
- The night sky, and how incredible it looks

- Wildflowers
- Light summer storms
- People who wave to me on my walks (even though it scares me sometimes)
- The community who watched me grow up
- Therapists, aides, teachers, principals, and secretaries, who all helped me get through school
- The teachers who allowed me to talk to them
- The adults who allowed me to befriend them
- Long conversations with my aunt
- Having people who make you feel lucky – respect people who have been through more than you
- Having my own phone
- Being able to go one vacations
- Being able to wake up this morning!
So that’s my list, I forgot a lot! I’m pretty spoiled! I started a facebook page just for my blog called Just A Girl with Crutches, feel free to follow that page, it will just be for my blog posts.

Wow, to be so thankful! I wish everything could put together a list like this for themselves, unfortunately there are many people that do not feel thankful, they worry more about what they do not have. A very good list and thank you for sharing.
